I loved that movie. I love the whole concept of paying it forward. It is soooo much how I am thinking. Let's bless others. But what can we do?
Gift cards/certificates are an amazing way you can bless people. Consider giving someone randomly any of these:
* Visa or mastercard gift card
* Supermarket or grocery store gift card
* Gas station gift card
* Merry Maid or other home cleaning gift card
* Hair Salon gift card/ massage or day spa gift card.
* Lawn care or maintenance gift card
* Restaurant gift card.
I just think of all of the people living paycheck to paycheck. They don't have money for extras.
Things they may have used to be able to afford, like for women - getting their hair done and maybe now with children and family life there is never money left over for that as it seems excessive when there is barely money for food. What a blessing to give that mother a treat like that where she can relax and feel normal even just for a moment.
Face it, none of us really know how anyone else is doing. We all put on a brave face before the world when many of us are crippled with debt, or hanging on by a string and no one even knows.
How a lawn care or maintenance subscription for an older person with a yard would be a huge blessing to them - taking care of something they now have trouble doing themselves but can't afford help. A cleaning gift card for home cleaning would be amazing for anyone - older people would love it, a new mother would love it, anyone would appreciate that I would imagine.
It's easy to take it for granted having money for groceries. I know we've had times when we've had no money for groceries in a week or more. It's a scary place to live.
If you're at a toll road - pay the people behind you. If you're buying coffee or something take away - pay for the next person in line too.
We need to realize we need to look out for others and use what we have to bless others - even if it's only a little. It's an attitude of heart to foster and it's important.
